Eligibility Criteria

Rules and Regulations for Admission

Basic Qualification
- Candidates must have passed a U.G. degree examination in the 10+2+3 stream, with the same main subject in Part III that they intend to pursue as an optional in the B.Ed. program.
- Candidates with double or triple majors in Part III of their U.G. degree must select only one main subject for their B.Ed. specialization.

Special Considerations for Optional Subjects
- U.G. degree holders in Applied Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, or Applied Physics are eligible to apply for Physical Science as their optional subject in B.Ed.
- U.G. degree holders in Environmental Science or Microbiology are eligible to apply for Biological Science as their optional subject in B.Ed.

Relaxation for SC/ST Candidates
- For candidates from SC and ST communities, a pass in the relevant UG degree course is sufficient to qualify for admission.

Age Limit
- There is no age limit for admission (admission details adhere to University regulations).

Equity and Inclusivity
- Admission ensures equity, considering applications from disadvantaged, financially oppressed, educationally backward, differently-abled students, and those with outstanding achievements in sports and games.
- The management provides financial support to needy students through trust funds.

Admission Process



Pre-Admission Assessment
- Before the program begins, the institution assesses the candidate's knowledge, needs, and skills based on their academic records and a personal interview.
Entrance Test and Merit-Based Admission
- Admission is conducted through an entrance test, and eligible candidates are admitted strictly on a merit basis.
- A ranking list is prepared based on entrance test scores, and this list is displayed on the notice board of the admission department
Registration
- Candidates are registered for the program following the display of the merit list and adherence to the admission guidelines.

  • 3. Misrepresentation or concealment of facts will result in cancellation of admission.


  • 4. Students are expected to uphold the values of inclusivity, discipline, and academic integrity during their course tenure.

Admission Procedure

The admission process for the *B.Ed. program* is systematic and ensures transparency and inclusivity:

Application Submission

- Interested candidates must fill out the application form available online or at the institution's admission office.
- Necessary documents such as academic certificates, community certificates, and identity proof must be submitted along with the application.

Eligibility Verification

- The admission committee reviews the submitted documents to confirm eligibility based on the criteria mentioned below.

Entrance Test (if applicable)

- Eligible candidates may be required to take an entrance test, focusing on aptitude, general knowledge, and subject knowledge.

Merit List Preparation

- A merit list is prepared based on entrance test performance or academic qualifications (depending on the institution’s policy).

Counseling and Interview

- Shortlisted candidates are called for counseling sessions, where course details, expectations, and guidelines are explained.
- Personal interviews may be conducted to assess the candidate’s communication skills, motivation, and interest in teaching.

Admission Confirmation

- Admission is confirmed upon payment of the course fee and verification of all original documents.

Orientation Program

- Admitted students are required to attend an orientation session to understand the course structure, academic calendar, and institutional rules.
